I'm a fan of working with what you have. I've gone from driving to the trails, to trailering and have reverted back to driving.
I hated having so many vehicles to maintain. Plus, when I started trailering then I started to get really bold and tearing stuff up because I didn't have to drive it home. Ultimately, the cost wasn't worth it in my opinion.
Since you have the truck, equip it properly, drive with common sense, and enjoy yourself. Don't let others spend your money for you. Plus, spending money on a tow rig isn't nearly as cool as spending it on the Jeep and getting a better wheeler out of it.
Couldn't say it better myself. If I had said it myself I would say.... get a real truck to tow with and don't waste money on some aluminum pancake. If you want it... go get it.
