Will an aftermarket exhaust really make a difference in fuel mileage. I have a superchip programmer and an air raid cold air intake on my 09 rubicon unlimited. I have a borla on my yj and I love the sound it makes but on the newer jeep it would be more for fuel mileage gain and performance.

We've done a couple of the first gen JKs as far as the performance mods go and I have to say I wasn't impressed. One client brought a brand new 2009 to the shop and asked that it be outfitted with intake, headers, and full exhaust along with a programmer.....for the substantial amount of coin he spent, he gained 11 hp......To me, that was not a cost effective hp increase. And, to be honest, he never claimed any noticeable fuel mileage gain....Comment

Get a cat back system, and bolt it up to a Hemi, then put said Hemi under your hood. Best way to get decent performance out of a JKComment
