Went to this last year with whitemax03. Had a great time! Awesome raffle (didn't win anything but still - good prizes) It was neat to be a part of something for a great cause. Unfortunately, I'm on duty for this year's event :(

James, I'll probably leave home about 6:30am. I don't think I'll be up early enough to caravan with everyone. PM me if you don't have my cell - you can call me when you head out if you want and I can pull over and wait up for you, or hammer down and try to catch up. :-)

What time is everybody trying to get to the park by?
Some people just need to get over themselves.

I may actually be able to make this now, but I did not pre-register. I saw on KRP site that I can pay the $30.00 at the door, but can I also buy raffle tickets once I am in? Looks like some good prizes and a great cause.

                        Masonry is not satanic.

By participating, you're supporting the Down's Syndrome Guild of Greater Kansas City, not the Masons. They're just the ones organizing the event, collecting sponsorships and prizes for the raffle, etc.

You could go and talk to Andy about it. He's a mason, and could explain some of the things they do and why they do them, that lead you to think of them as satanic.

Or you can continue to live in ignorance.

I know it starts at 8, but since it is a closed event, how late can we show up and still get in??

                          Thanks,

I'd imagine like most events, you can get in whenever you want, as long as you're registered. You may have to go to the shack to check in instead of the "booth" but I don't see them locking the gates and denying anyone entry to the park. As far as I know, the park is open for the day, it's just a $30 entrance instead of $10 entrance. :-)

We probably won't roll out of here until 6:30, so there's no way we can be in Ft Scott by 8am. It's at least a 2-hr drive for me.

Thanks to everyone (especially Andy Cassity for all his hard work), who attended and made this a Spectacular event!! It was a Great turnout and Im sure next year will be as successful if not more so.
The Masonic Organization that sponsored this event, Ben Hur Lodge #322, raised a good deal of money for the Downs Syndrome Guild Of Greater Kansas City and your participation contributed to that.
Heres is an album of photos from todays event and the winners of the drawings. Thanks, again, Schaan Donaldson http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?s...8614693&type=1

& some more from 12 year old Max Scavuzzo (Thanks Nick.) http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?s...7300630&type=1
