    I was wondering if you could put a lunch bow locker in the front dana 30 with just the axle disconnect and still retain driveabilty and fuel economy.

    yes, if you retain the axle disconnect the locker will be invisible when in 2wd and your economy won't suffer.

      Awesome i was told somewhere that if i put a lunch box locker in the front then when i go into 2wd i would have a hard pull to the left. but thanks

        The locker engagement is done by the ds. There is some friction through the axle's rotation, but nothing significant other than noticing it. I have a lunchbox locker in both axles and drive it on the street. No a problem.

        For a rear locker, you know its back there. Drive appropriately.
