dana 44?

Looking for a TJ for my son. What years and models came with d-44 rear axle (non rubicon)? I know some of the Sports had them, but not all. Are there certain VIN numbers to look for?

I'm trying to weed out the d-35s without going to look at them.

My 99 sport did, and didn't have the factory tow package either. Might have been special order.

The Rocky Mountain package has a D44 and 3.73 gears. Jeep did a few packages based on the X model that have D44s the Columbia is another. Also the TJ unlimited (LJ) non-Rubicons have D44s and 3.73 gears.
