Ok guys so I have a 97 jeep cherokee sport 4.0 and I went to start it last night and it didn't stop turning over even after I took the key out, I replaced the starter today and tried it again and same thing, without the key in the jeep I reconnected the battery and it started turning over... I need help, any ideas?

Haven't fought this problem, but my first two thoughts would be to check the starter relay or the ignition switch itself. My gut feeling would be that it's the starter relay. It's in the larger black power distribution box under the hood.

It's not a bad road filled with potholes and broken pavement, it's just Jeep-friendly.
