31x10.50x15 hiway speed downshifts???
Hey Everyone, Trying to decide on a tire size. I have a 99 with a 3" lift and am buying tires soon.What I'm trying to figure out is....if I put 33x10.50x15 on a stock engine & axles (Chry 8.25 w/ factory lock rear) am I going to get a downshift at highway speeds going uphill? And will they even fit with the stock limited edition honeycomb type rims without rubbing? My choices are 31x10.50x15 or 235/75/15 Duratracs.
I use the XJ for Storm Chasing but after a incorrect GPS ,gravel ends & 90 degree corner begins, and a CORNFIELD adventure in Nebraska I've decided made a few changes!! We go 1000's of miles a year on the highway and don't want the constant shifting. Thanks as always, Dean
