How to open hood when handle breaks

Ok i have a 93 cherokee and i broke the hood opening handle off today. just wondering if there was a trick to open it now. there is no cable showing under the dash.

any methods will help thanks.

take what's left of the handle off and grab the cable with some vice grips and pull

You can take the kick panel off and cut in to the cable sheath and see if there is any cable left to get a hold of. If not, then you can remove the headlights and unlatch each latch individually. The headlight thing is a PITA, but it can be done.

ok, thanks i was able to grab the cable and it opened.
