  • Outside temp reading

Hello. I need a little insight here. I have a 98 Grand Cherokee Limited. It has the little digital direction/temp/fuel economy/DTE gauge on the top console. The direction compass works fine but I can't get any readings for temp, MPG, or DTE. Anyone know what the problem might be?

    Thanks,
    Dave

I have a similar problem with my 92 XJ my temperature reading shows like 20 degrees higher than the actual temp...I've changed the sensor for it and it's still wrong.I wish there was a way to make it work right

It's located behind the radiator shroud, where engine heat is retained. Put it on the outside of the shroud and it will be closer. I had the same issue on the Durango and the relocation fixed it.
