  • Which Are The Lightest OEM Jeep Alloy Wheels in 16" and 17"?

I'm going to retrofit late model Jeep wheels and want to choose the lightest set (for their size) that are readily available. I don't recall if there were any forged OEM wheels available, and I have to sort the offsets out (I think I need 40mm) that I can use. 5 on 4.5" (114.3 mm); but the overall rotating mass (tire and wheel of a given outside diameter) is what I want to keep light. I'm looking for OEM type spec wheels; maybe 7-7.5" wide, no more.

I'm looking for a set that I can bolt on without any remonting, balancing, etc. I hope to find a set that might have been removed to upgrade to an aftermarket set. The appearance is equally important on my vehicle, an '85 amc eagle wagon.

re the first respose: I was thinking lbs vs kilograms (in terms of keeping it simple).

Re the second: I don't like that particular style for my vehicle, but if they were 20% lighter than later Jeep wheels (with same dia. tires), I'd be interested.
