I'm looking for a good repair manual. the ones I know are Chilton and Haynes. I was just wondering what the general consensus is on the best repair manual?
thanks
If you go with the big Chilton book - not the 1" thick ones they sell at auto parts stores, but what I think is called the "shop manual" series - they're pretty good. The 1" thick ones you find at auto parts stores usually are not terribly detailed.
I personally live out of my Haynes manuals, but then again, I'm a rank amateur.
My opinion - your mileage may vary ;-)
