The factory stereo in my 96 ZJ is a little "slow" and I'm restricted on options for aftermarket units due to working in a high crime area. Has anybody explored any newer factory Chrysler head units that can be easily swapped into an older ZJ? One that has a Sirius receiver built in would be pretty awesome actually.
Electronically, if there aren't any external modules and other garbage I could handle the wiring. If the HU was a 'premium' package like my ZJ came with it'd have an external amp but that's not a big deal. More concerned with the physical dimensions of the unit and it looking like a factory piece...
Btw, I know someone might mention aftermarket HU with detach faceplate... That's what I had in my sedan, and that's what they broken in and stole...
