Are you ready to hit the trails?
The KC Jeep Club is ready for all levels of Jeep expertise - from raw
beginners to seasoned veterans - it's tailored for everyone! Our trail
runs and events are designed for stock Jeeps to highly modified rigs.
You don't need a highly modified vehicle to join KC Jeep Club. You
follow unpaved trails and enjoy learning how to drive your Jeep in
challenging off-road situations.
Is your Jeep ready to hit the trails?
The following equipment is MANDATORY for KC Jeep Club events:
-
Front and rear tow hooks should be properly mounted to the frame with
grade-eight bolts. Drawbars or receiver hitches are acceptable as an
alternative to rear tow hooks.
-
All open-topped vehicles, including older models (CJs, Scramblers, and Willys), must have mandatory roll bars.
-
A full-size spare tire. In case of puncture, a space-saver spare (donut) won't do.
-
If your Jeep does not have the mandatory equipment, you will be turned away at the trailhead.
The following is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED:
-
Skid plates covering the oil pan, gas tank, and transfer case.
-
Rock rails for Jeep Liberty, Cherokee, and Grand Cherokee.
-
Heavy-duty, 20'-long nylon tow straps (20,000 pound minimum) with looped
ends (no hooks). Tow straps with metal hooks will not be permitted.
-
A CB Radio. It is the only way to communicate with trail
leaders and fellow members on trails.
-
Fire extinguisher.
-
First aid kit.
-
A toolbox with basic tools for repairs.
